Co-Author Phyllis Smith
Phyllis Smith has written eight books on regional history: the early days of Boulder, Colorado, coal mining in the Northern Coal Field, a weather station on top of Pikes Peak, Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley, early days of the Flying D Ranch, the Big Timber area from Melville to the South Boulder River, and a look at Madison County. She lives in Bozeman, Montana.

Co-Author William Hoy
Co-Author William Hoy William Hoy is an architect as well as a railroad fan and graduate from Montana State University. His black-and-white photographs illustrate this volume as well as images in color from his collection. Mr. Hoy lives in Germantown, Maryland and his written one other book titled “Railroad Stations in the Gallatin Area, Montana”.
